Q: Should I attend the Sunday evening meetings that HBA holds?
A: It is not mandatory that you attend the Sunday evening meetings, but if you would like to become involved in the organization, this is the place to be! Is there a rule change that you like to see? Are there issues with a baseball field you'd like to do something about? Would you like to be a commissioner? If you have any kind of organizational interest, than by all means join us on Sunday evenings over at the Hilliard Community Center at 7:00pm, because it is the HBA organization that makes everything happen related to baseball, and if you want to change things or become involved, these Sunday evening meetings are the place to begin!

Q: When does the HBA season start and end?
A: Generally speaking the HBA starts practicing the second week in April, with one weeknight practice and one weekend practice. We try to wrap up our season the first week in July. As soon as the yearly schedule is complete you can check for specific dates on our schedule section of our website.

Q: How old does my son have to be to play HBA baseball?
A: Children need to be at least 6 years of age before they can play baseball in the HBA organization.

Q: I can't make the date for signups... How can I get my child registered?
A: We post the application on the front page of the website during the time that we accept registrations.  You need to print the application and mail it to PO Box 202, Hilliard, OH 43026.

Q: My child is playing (fill in the blank) in the spring, can you tell me what night they'll play on?
A: Until the registrations are finished and team asignments are made, we have no way of knowing when your child will practice or play.  We also cannot guarantee what night they'll be practicing or playing games. The only thing we can assure you of is that once practice begins, there will be four weeks of practice.  Generally, there will be two practices per week - one on a weeknight and another on the weekend.  Games are scheduled similiar to practices with one game during a weeknight and another on Saturday.  Of course, rain can wreak havoc with our game schedule!

Q: What are the age groups for the Pony League?

A:Regular Pony League is for 13-15 yr olds.
Senior Pony League is for 16-18 yr olds.

Please note all ages refer to the age of the child on July 31 of this year. If you have an interest in playing in this league please refer to our contact page for the current pony league commissioner.
